LUXURY RIVER Cruise - 7 Days
BACK for 2009! Barge Cruise Vacations in Europe start with a barging cruise on Ireland's River Shannon onboard the exclusive and
newly built luxury river barge, the SHANNON PRINCESS II . The most outstanding European luxury river cruise vacation experience!
Float on the 10 passenger luxury river barge SHANNON PRINCESS II and enjoy delightful friendly service, outstanding
foods and wines, memorable and charming ambiance and a river of unspoiled beauty.

The River Shannon..........for a relaxing barging vacation. Far removed from the hustle and
bustle of modern living, lies the lordly river Shannon. A profusion of lakes and streams, meandering effortlessly through some of
the most beautiful scenery in Ireland. The most extensive inland waterway in Ireland and Britain, with over 300km of navigable
flowing waters. The Shannon is set amidst one of Europefs most environmentally pure and spectacular landscapes. Its tranquil
atmosphere and unhurried pace invites you to completely unwind and savour the pleasures of floating through Irelandfs inland
waterways and explore the legends and myths.
What better way to explore the very heart of Ireland than cruising on the lovely SHANNON PRINCESS II.
Unshroud a river wrapped in legends, myths and the gentle mists of time, Slip through a countryside little changed over the
centuries as we pass by Ancient monasteries, prehistoric Cities, Fairy forts and Celtic Villages. Norman Keeps and Viking Towers
cast a watchful eye on the SHANNON PRINCESS II as she floats through the unspoiled waterways of the Shannon River. Set your watch to Shannon
time, as wandering waters pass fishermen, wild deer and grazing horses. Kingfishers and wild orchids splash colour across our day.
Gliding birds of prey swoop and dive for leaping salmon on their way upstream. We pass through locks, bridges, forest park and
ancient mountains as we set our course for any of the charming villages on the banks of the River Shannon.
Visit intriguing historical sites, pretty towns and villages, gentle hills and dappled woods, all while the River Shannon provides
an absorbing trail to follow. Sleepy villages are transformed by the presence of awesome castles, prehistoric remains, ruined abbeys
& churches, ancient town walls & legends of a lost age.
