Day 1 - DEPART FOR IRELAND
Depart for Ireland by the most convenient air routing. Overnight flight to Ireland.
Day 2 - ARRIVAL IN DUBLIN Day 2 -
Welcome to Dublin, Ireland's Capital. Transfer to your accommodation. Relax from your journey. Evening Irish Coffee reception followed by a Welcome dinner!
Day 3 - DUBLIN'S FAIR CITY
This morning you take a guided tour of Dublin City, including visits to Kilmainhaim Goal and Dublin Castle. Afternoon at leisure. Tonight, you'll laugh and sing the night away to the music of the harp and fiddle, flute and 'bodhran (goatskin tambourine). Join in the songs, marvel at the intricacy of the Irish step dancing, but most of all enjoy the wit and humor of Jurys Irish dinner and cabaret.
Day 4 - WEXFORD
Depart Dublin and tour south through the Wicklow Mountains and the region known as "The Garden of Ireland". At Glendalough take a guided tour of the 6th century monastic settlement, with its round tower and Celtic crosses. Stop for tea at a typical Irish B&B and enjoy some home made cakes and pies! On through Enniscorthy to Wexford Town, birthplace of Commodore John Barry, the father of the United States Navy.
Day 5 - WATERFORD & CASHEL
On to Waterford, where you visit the Waterford Crystal showrooms. You tour to Cashel and a visit to the cathedral fortress known as the Rock of Cashel. It dates back to the time of St. Patrick. On to Cahir and a visit to 12th century Cahir Castle. Stay near Mallow.
Day 6 - BLARNEY & KINSALE
Stop at Blarney Castle to climb to the battlements of the castle to kiss the famous "stone of eloquence". You'll have time to visit the Blarney Woolen Mills for traditional Irish handcrafts, fashions and crystal. Continue to Kinsale and a visit to Charles Fort and then along the coast via Bantry Bay and Kenmare to Killarney which is set beside the Lakes of Killarney at the foot of the mountains.
Day 7 - DINGLE PENINSULA
Tour the spectacular Dingle Peninsula to Dingle, one of Ireland's most picturesque spots. See the Blasket Islands and the Gallarus Oratory dating to the 9th century. Return to Killarney via Tralee and find out about the sad romantic story of the Rose of Tralee. How about a visit to a 'singing' pub this evening!
Day 8 - LIMERICK & BUNRATTY
Irish Jaunting Cart ride through the Killarney National Park, to Muckross House where you visit this wonderful museum of Irish life in the 18th century. Drive to the spectacular viewpoint of Aghadoe Heights. Tour north from Killarney through Adare, the picturesque village with thatched cottages. On to the city of Limerick. You stop for the night at Shannonside and this evening you will dine like the Lords and Ladies of the 15th Century at Bunratty Castle.
Day 9 - DEPART FOR HOME
Transfer to Shannon Airport. Depart for home.
