Day 1 - DEPART FOR IRELAND
Depart for Ireland by the most convenient air routing. Overnight flight to Ireland
Day 2 - ARRIVAL IN DUBLIN
Welcome to Dublin, Ireland's Capital. Transfer to your accommodation. Relax from your journey. Evening Irish Coffee reception followed by a Welcome dinner!
Day 3 - DUBLIN'S FAIR CITY
This morning you take a guided tour of Dublin City, including visits to Dublin Castle & the State Apartments. Afternoon at leisure. Tonight, you'll laugh and sing the night away to the music of the harp and fiddle, flute and 'bodhran (goatskin tambourine). Join in the songs, marvel at the intricacy of the Irish step dancing, but most of all enjoy the wit and humor of Jurys Irish dinner and cabaret.
Day 4 - DUBLIN - At leisure
You're in the heart of the city within walking distance of shopping on Grafton Street. Feed the swans on the lake in St. Stephens Green. Complete day at leisure to do some shopping and explore Dublin on your own. This evening we take in a play at the National Theatre of Ireland - The Abbey Theatre.
Day 5 - WEXFORD
Depart Dublin this morning and travel south through the Wicklow Mountains and the region known as "The Garden of Ireland". At Glendalough take a guided tour of the 6th century monastic settlement, with its round tower and Celtic crosses. Drive south to Wexford, a wonderful town.
Day 6 - WATERFORD & CASHEL
On to Waterford, where you visit the Waterford Crystal showrooms. You tour to Cashel and a visit to the cathedral fortress known as the Rock of Cashel. It dates back to the time of St. Patrick. On to Cahir and a visit to 12th century Cahir Castle. Stay near Mallow.
Day 7 - BLARNEY & KINSALE
Stop at Blarney Castle to climb to the battlements of the castle to kiss the famous
"stone of eloquence". You'll have time to visit the Blarney Woolen Mills for traditional Irish handcrafts, fashions and crystal. Continue to Kinsale and a visit to Charles Fort and then along the coast via Bantry Bay and Kenmare to Killarney which is set beside the Lakes of Killarney at the foot of the mountains.
Day 8 - DINGLE PENINSULA
Tour the spectacular Dingle Peninsula to Dingle, one of Ireland's most picturesque spots. Return to Killarney via Tralee and find out about the sad romantic story of the Rose of Tralee.
Day 9 - LIMERICK & BUNRATTY
Irish Jaunting Cart ride through the Killarney National Park, to Muckross House where you visit this wonderful museum of Irish life in the 18th century. Drive to the spectacular viewpoint of Aghadoe. Depart Killarney and drive north, to the city of Limerick via the picturesque village of Adare. You stop for the night at Shannonside and this evening you will dine like the Lords and Ladies of the 15th Century at Bunrattty Castle.
Day 10 - CLIFFS OF MOHER & BURREN
Depart Shannonside and tour through County Clare, along the Clare Coast to visit the Cliffs of Moher which rise 700 feet above the sea and extend five miles along the coast. Drive on through the Burren country - an area of limestone hills which supports a wide range of flora. Continue on to Galway City.
Day 11 - ARAN ISLANDS & CONNEMARA
You travel through the Connemara region which is known for its mountains, the Twelve Bens and the beauty of the landscape with its changing colors. Air excursion to the Aran island - Inishmor - and visit the ancient fort - Dun Angeus.
Day 12 - SLIGO AND ENVIRONS
North through Castlebar to the Ceidi Fields where you see how man lived 5,000 years ago. On to Sligo, a county of gentle mountains, lakes and coastline. This area is associated with the great writer: W. B. Yeats. Overnight in Sligo Town.
Day 13 - DONEGAL TOUR
You take an excursion into Donegal Town and visit Magee's of Donegal for tweeds and woolens and then out along Donegal Bay to Killybegs. Tour Donegal Parian China factory.
Day 14 - NEWGRANGE
You cross into Northern Ireland for a visit to the Belleek China factory and then a scenic drive to one of Europe's great archaeological mysteries,the Boyne Valley Center with its NewgrangeKnowth & Dowth neolithic burial tombs, which predates the pyramids. Overnight at Posthouse Hotel Dublin Airport.
Day 15 - DEPART FOR HOME
Transfer to Dublin Airport. Depart for home.
